If you put your mind to something, and you believe you can do it, you really can!! I got my certificate for swimming 50 miles, and looking forward to the next 50! You have 4 days left to make your January goals! Push hard!! I used to make a really great low low fat banana bread recipe and I lost it..so I have been looking for a new one! Going to share this new recipe with you..and only 89 calories!!!

1 1/2 C. Wheat Flour
1 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Basking Soda
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
2 Egg Whites
1/4 C Apple Sauce (unsweetened)
1 C Smashed Ripe Banana (about 1 1/2 Large Banana's)
3-5 Droppers of NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia

Whisk dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Blend all wet ingredients together and add to dry ingredients. Combine well to create a thick batter. Pour into 4"X8" loaf pan. Bake at 350 for approximately 30-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into middle pulls out clean.

Makes 10 Slices (4" X 8" Loaf Pan)

.4 g Fat
3 g Fiber
20 g Carbs
3.5 g Protein

Recipe Note: You can add 2 TBL of chopped walnuts or pecans to this recipe too. It increases the calories by approximately 10 per slice and fat by only 1 g.

I hope everyone that chose to sign up for a goal to be made by January 30th, are close to making it! Keep working hard!  Thank you to those who came to my city council speech and supported me! I hope you left leaving with some new valuable info! Here is a idea for your vegetables that my family really enjoys:
You can use brocolli( cut up into florets) or asparagus> Place on a cookie sheet with non stick spray. Drizzle olive oil or Safflour oil all over the top and crack sea salt on top> Stick in the oven on Broil until crisp, but not to crisp! It is so yummy! You can also squeeze a little lemon juice on top when it gets out and a small sprinkle of some fresh parmesian cheese! I am going to be opening a new slot for a group of 3.   I have been asked by the City council to do a talk about fitness and changing your metabolism if any of you would like to come. It will be held on Thursday night at 7pm in thecommunity enrichment room!

Things have finally calmed down since Christmas. Felt like a whirlwind! Our point system is now finished. I have to say almost everyone did really well on that. Everyone lost weight or maintained( I think only 3 did not) their weight! This was exciting in December!tThank you for all the nice Christmas bonuses and  gifts I received!! Now we are on to the New Year! 2012 here we come! Set your sights on your goals, and make this the year that you make them a reality! I feel like 2011 was a great year, but I have to tell you I think 2012 is going to be even better! I have a envelope I have prepared for each of you. Its your choice rather or not you want to take it or not. In that envelope I have prepared a goal for the month of January. It could be weight loss, timed miles, it could be something you have to do every time you train that may be really hard, it could be anything fitness related. If you choose to take this envelope, then you are choosing to take on the goal before you even open it. Your envelope will be posted on the wall, and at the end of the month it will reveal rather or not you made your goal. Yes, everyone can see it! Its your choice! The goals will be hard!! They will be attainable if you work hard! They will be handed out this week per request! Please remember our gym rules this year..If you are sick, cough, runny nose,sore throat, less than 3 days since you have thrown up or had flu symptoms..DO NOT COME! I reserve the right to send you home and make you miss 2 extra training sessions! Those of you that are forgetting towels, please bring them! I am wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR, and I hope this year all your dreams and goals come true! THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT PART OF MY LIFE!
