ONE OF THE GREAT MOMENTS IN LIFE IS REALIZING THAT TWO WEEKS AGO YOUR BODY COULDN'T DO WHAT IT JUST DID! That is one of my favorite sayings when it comes to fitness. I can take a beginner client or a long time client, and we can still push our bodies to be and do more. That's the great thing about strength and fitness- you set the bar as high as you are willing to go!!! I remember how afraid I was to swim. The fear was holding my body back. It wasn't until I let go of some of that fear that I could really learn. This is how my goals looked and how my bars moved slower and slower up.. GOAL 1- DONT DROWN. **GOAL 2- SOMEHOW KEEP YOUR FACE DOWN, YOUR ARMS MOVING, YOUR LEGS KICKING and try to be a little graceful***GOAL 3- " ANNIE GET YOUR BUTT UP", If I heard it once I heard it a 100 times! ****Goal 6- down and back a couple times with little recovery.........now my bar has slowly moved and moved up..I can now do 36 laps with ease, I can swim the same speed as my coach, and have been told by a few that I have a very pretty swim. HOT DAMN!!ha ha.. believe it or not, I'm still afraid of water. I just move that bar up one more rung, and I focus on the goal. I think mentally and physically goals are good for us. It keeps us moving forward- if you want change, you must move forward. What are your goals? Where is your bar set? How tall is your ladder, and how far are you willing to climb? If you don't have a goal, set it now!! You guys are the greatest, and I'm hear to support you and your goals!

Ok- Here is some advanced notice. Oct 5th at 1pm will be my nutrition food demo! It is a sat.. and I know how busy sats are for everyone!! I promise it wont take longer than a hour! Ill share with you my new protein bars, something awesome to do to fruit, a great breakfast idea, and some other nutrition stuff! The cost will be 12$ Don't come to full, as you will get to taste everything. I will put a sign up sheet in the gym!! I will be doing a tue class tomorrow night at 6pm, text me by morning if you are interested! I'm also going to put us together a client team fall challenge..I shall get working on it! Happy health!!

Teri was telling me that a guy in front of her at her 10k had a shirt on and it said." If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail". She was telling me how she was thinking that she shouldn't be there and began to self doubt herself. Now I get the meaning of this shirt.. If you commit to something~ then prepare for it. I get that, and I agree with that!! However, the beauty of this story is that you can draw strength from your mind. Remember how I am always saying that your body hears everything your mind is saying? When you were little didn't your parents ever tell you that you could be whatever you wanted to be? All you have to do is believe. Well Teri recognized that her thinkin was stinkin, and began to get her head in the game and change her focus. Instead she chose to concentrate on one foot in front of the other. You know she ran the whole thing, and when she was finished she wasn't even tired! She could have let that negativity take her down and it would have. If she kept telling herself she couldn't do it, then that's what her body hears. Instead she chose to move forward! What a great example this is! Its so important that we have positive thoughts floating around in our little heads. Surround yourself with people who will support your goals. Your friends should be your cheerleaders- and when necessary- your butt kickers! ************ The chicken recipe I told you about is posted in the gym! More info to come about my nutrition demo. I really want to do it on a sat..but finding it hard to find time on a sat morn, so now I am looking at a few evenings. Boy I'm sure grateful for labor day weekend. Getting one more long weekend and grasping so hard to the last days of summer camping made me really take the time to enjoy it all. For me being in the mountains, and around the water and the beauty of all creation made me come home feeling "healed". Being in that kind of setting brings me to a place of peace and a desire to live in the moment. One of the couples we camped with was in charge of doing the chicken for our dinner one night..it was the best chicken ever! Its a special marinade and she is going to share it with me, and I will pass it to you. I will make copies and stick it in the gym! I never really have a good recipe for chicken on the grill- I just kinda fake it. So I'm excited. My boys really liked it too! Tomorrow night I'm going to do a tue night class~ as I have heard that you guys wanted me to do that again! I will be honest, I enjoyed tues too! Tomorrow night we will meet at my house at 6:30. I think with school starting and homework and ect, I would like to start before 7 as I had originally stated. It's 15 dollars or you can do 4 for $44- making it only 11 per class. Please pay separate from your training! I'm going to try to keep them around a hour and 15 min. I will need a text in the morning if you plan on attending! Thanks!! See u soon!
