I had heard that subways bread was not healthy. Could this be true? Afterall they claim to be a healthy place to eat! Well this prompted me to do some reserach on my own.. and what I found was a little shocking. There 9 grain bread is made with "enriched" flour and the second ingredient is..HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP?? are you kidding? You all have heard how bad that is for you. The wheat bread is not whole wheat..nope "enriched"! You might as well eat a big bowl of white rice! Same effect. The only nice thing about them is all the vegetable choices. My suggestion would be this...take off the top piece of bread and ask for extra vegetables!

Well yesterday was my birthday! I know 21, its hard to believe! Anyway, I got to play part in a small miracle. After spending the day with my hubby in Salt Lake, we were coming home in traffic hour, and Jon thought he spotted a small kitten in the road. There was no place to turn around and no pull off areas, so we had to go over a bridge, and pull over. During this time at least 100 vehicles had driven over this small little ball in the road. We were sure it was dead. We flipped back around, stopped in the middle of the bridge area. I held up both hands, to stop traffic. It was not easy! I ran up the street a little and picked up this little ball of fluff. It literally fit in the palm of my hand. It meowed! Its alive! Its little nose was bleeding. I wrapped it up in my sweat shirt. We took it to the nearest vet. The diagnosis is that it is only 8 days old. Its eyes have not even opened yet. They are keeping it in a incubator and hand feeding it every 2 hours. They believe it will live. Its a boy by the way. Someone probably threw it out the window, and it landed on its nose and face. This little cat was literally ran over and over, and never got squashed. The wheels of every vehicle just missing it. I don't know how Jon even spotted it. I could not even see it after we stopped the traffic. I am so happy we saved its life! Look how cute he is! He made my birthday! Even though we are not keeping him..we will all make sure he goes to a good home! Because he is special!!

Well yesterday Me , Jan , Mandy, Christy and Kristen went down to cheer on Steve for his half marathon in SlC. I really wanted to be there to cheer him on and let him know that as his friend and trainer..I support him! Thats what friends do! I am so proud. We decided to go down a little early to yell for Ami, and Amber who come to my boot camps and were also running it. We got there in time to cheer all three of them on. These girls have worked hard to get to this point too! I am proud of you guys! I think it says alot about my little group of friends(and clients) that they took the time on a sat. away from their families, to come down and show their support and help me cheer. I really do have the best and most loyal bunch of clients! They also know and understand how important it is to feel supported by others. We are all reaching and striving for the same goal..HEALTH! When you get to know each other through training and boot camps you become like family. I am posting some pics from Sat! Hope you enjoy them!!!

Let me know and we can schedule it!

Next Boot Camps soon to come..First week of June, end of July, and early September!
I think that was one of the funnest boot camps yet! We had at least 18 people on most nights. Everyone worked so hard! I got a good laugh as some of you transitioned from the bike to running during the triathalon. Its as if those legs did not want to work! I think positive attitudes won out over two nights of cold weather. Thank you for the positve atttitudes and feed back that I have heard! Everyone did just awesome with their weight loss during this week! Way to go! Our biggest loser of the week was KRISTEN PACK who lost 6.5 pounds this week! She worked hard and was good about her eating( except for that cutlers cookie and a little mac and cheese) and still lost a whopping 6.5 pounds! She had a handful of people who were right on her tail though....Hilary lost 6 pounds. .Amber lost 6 pounds..Morgan lost 6 pounds..Casey lost5.5..Mandy lost 5. Way to go to all of you! Congratulations to Kristen!! Can't wait to do your free half hour of glutes, and to see you at the next free boot camp! Heres some pics to enjoy!!!
