Memorial weekend. I did not get to go with my great friend down to Moab, but we still made the best of our weekend. We took the kids to lagoon for the day on sat., and absolutely had the best time! I want to share a story with you. Sorry...it has nothing to do with fitness. My son Cole saw this HUGE stuffed animal at Lagoon and all day long as we passed it, he kept saying how he wanted to win that dog. At the end of our day(10 hours) I took him to where the game was. I handed him 1 dollar and told him good luck! We had watched people all day try to win that large stuffed animal. One man even told me it was a one in a millon chance.. Cole closed his eyes for a quick second, as if to wish himself some luck, and began to toss his coins. On his very last toss, his coin landed right on top of the cylinder. He won!! He won!! I was yelling...he was yelling. It was a magical moment with my son. It is one I shall never forget. I wish I could just capture his little face! All day long he had wished for that dog! Guess what he named it! LUcKY!! Was it just luck?? Could it be that if you truly believe in something, anything is possible? Maybe if you close your eyes for just a second and dream a little dream..you will see that sometimes dreams do come true. Posting some pics of Cole with his dog Lucky!!

BOOT CAMP WEEK: will be held June 7th to 11th. It will be held every night at 6:30. The cost will be 85 for the week. Its cheaper to come for the week. Not to mention,,all the fun..weight loss..hard work..and smaller tushies!!!! Otherwise it will be 45 for 2 nights or 65 for 3. I am still waiting to hear back on some things, so will not be posting a schedule until next friday. I will need sign ups done by that Friday the 4th. I am just sure our weather will be better this time. I am hoping to teach you all BODY FUSION. It is a blast!!
On a different note: Mandy has now lost 30 pounds! I am so proud of her! A guy at work told her she looks better now than before she had her babies! Ruth has lost 50 pounds now. Her family is not going to recognize her when she gets home. Steve made huge improvements in his military testing! Way to go. For my sweet friends and clients who stayed after their work out to help my husband with a job that he needed help on..I say thank you!
***How many times have you gone out to eat and had a chocolate tower dessert somewhere? Don't we generally choose the chocolate dessert? Well next cheat..DON"T! The chocolate tower cake at cheesecake factory has 1820 cal and 48 grams of saturated fat! That is equivalent to 14 hostess Ho Ho's!!! One tostada personal pan steak pizza at California Pizza Kitchen=1680 calories and 3,300 mg of sodium! Thats equivalent to 6 taco bell crunchy tacos and a small personal pan pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut!! Be careful what you choose to eat when eating out.

This is my weekend for my body fusion certification. Yay! As I am sweating it out and working those muscles to failure, I will think of you, who I will soon be pushing to failure! The word "failure" in the gym is actually a good thing. I know I have told you this before but kettlebells are still taking the lead. More studies are coming out on the calories that these burn. Heres some stats: Kettlebells 20 cal per min Spinning 14.3 elliptical 9.8 stairstepping 12.2 running(9min pace) 17 swimming 13.6. .
Ok, some gyms are having problems with those little gym bugs from un clean equiptment and shared sweat. I think we do a pretty good job here in our gym, but some of you may need to make a few adjustments. Heres what we need to change. Bring your full size towel that you lay on, and a seperate hand towel for sweat. Use the hand towel for forehead and sweat wipes, and the full size to place on benches and mats while performing the exercise. If you are one of my fairly heavy sweaters, you will need to keep your hand towel close and wipe sweat periodically before dripping it everwhere. These new requirements should help keep our gym clean and bug free. Please clean all equiptment well after each of your sessions. As always..keep on working out!!

Well what a day. Had to get up at 4:15 to be ready for when Casey came to pick me up! Thank heavens for Visine! Really takes the red out! Today was the Ogden Marathon. We had two teams out for the relay, one client running the half and one on the 5k. That makes 12 of us! The day went actually quite great! Even the weather gave us some sunshine. Oh there was some funny times...Like when we were riding the bus up the canyon and we had big mouth Betty behind us..who talked so loud everyone on the bus knew intimate details concerning her life..then there was the fact that we were freezing after standing on Washington BLVD for a hour and 15 min..frozen to the bone..and of course we pick the one seat on the bus that has a huge hole in the floor..blowing cold air up our already cold legs, all the way up the canyon..I should also mention that anyone who REALLY knows me knows I am a anxiety freak before any running event..It could be a freaking 1K and I will have anxiety..pair that up with my partner Casey, and that just plain spells disaster..can i just tell you now how many potty breaks the two of us had to make?..How many times I almost made him cry??..LOL. And yet in the end..I was so glad we did it! When I got to mile 8 my leg ( yes, my it band) was killing me, and yet all I could think was what a day!! Thankful for the sun, Thankful for the run! I think everyone did such a great job! Even Jon ran it..i was proud! Thanks again to my clients and friends who we just seem to keep each other going! Here we come RAGNAR. Get ready.

On thursday at 10 pm on channel 4 they will be showing you the truth about the HCG diet! Please watch! I also wanted to tell you guys that yet another client was extremely low on his vitamin D level. I am talking extremely low. If you don't want to go get tested for your Dlevel, then at least take a D3 supplement!
